Nepal Relief

This week my son turns 4 and I can't believe how fast he is growing up!  We are going to our amazing and FREE St. Louis Zoo to celebrate and afterwards we will probably get a chocolate dip cone which is his absolute favorite!  I seriously can't wait!

He loves to be goofball with the camera.  I wonder where he gets that...

Sometimes I think about how lucky we are to live in a place that where we have a zoo, parks, chocolate dip cones, and other amenities so close that we can enjoy them whenever we want.  We also have hospitals, schools, and community centers to aid us in times of crisis.  I wonder though, what if that all went away?  What if there was a natural disaster that wiped out most of the area?  Who would reach out with a helping hand?  It’s almost scary to think about.  However, then I have to remind myself that people are good and the human spirit always wins out.

We all know about the devastation that happened with the earthquake in Nepal.  Humanitarian aid is pouring into the area, but they need more help which is why I am donating 10% of Hello World Paper Co. & Stamps' profits this month to Samaritan’s Purse.  Samaritan’s Purse is an amazing organization that is prepared to respond to disasters with food, medicine, shelter, and basic supplies.  You can read more about this inspiring organization here: Samaritan's Purse and watch a video of them delivering items to Nepal.

Please consider helping the people of Nepal.  You can either donate directly to some of the amazing organizations like Samaritan's Purse or you can make that stamp purchase you have been putting off and 10% of the profits will go to Nepal relief.  Sa-weet!

Have a fabulous weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all the ladies out there who's hearts are full of love for the children they have in their lives, the children they have lost, or the children yet to come.  I will be spending Mother's Day recovering from my son's birthday party with lots of kisses, snuggles, and a long hot bath.

xoxo,
