Project Night Night
The nightly routine of shuffling your kid to the bathtub, forcing them into pajamas and praying they fall asleep after the 3rd bed time story is taken for granted by too many parents. I myself fall victim and take this precious time for granted. Not every child has this sense of security. Whether they lack a bed, food to fill their bellies or even just a roof over their head, there are way too many kids missing out on the simple stuff. And it is happening in your city, all across America.
Did you know that 1 in 30 children will face homelessness sometime this year? What if you could help add just a little stability to a child’s life by giving them a little more predicable of a nightly routine?
To ease the anxiety associated with shelter living, Project Night Night distributes Night Night Packages to homeless children ages 0-10. Each Night Night Package includes an age-appropriate book, a baby blanket, which can be cuddled, and a stuffed animal, which can become a cherished friend. Finding comfort is vitally important for children in order to feel secure, loved, and valued – even in the midst of the upheaval and uncertainty attendant to homelessness.
Project Night Night has had a huge impact:
25,000 homeless children receive Night Night Packages each year.
10,000 volunteers connect with and improve their communities annually.
250,000 children's books donated since 2005.
Tens of thousands of bad dreams vanquished.
It’s time to make a difference. We can’t sit back and see these kids missing out on such important parts of their development. Because I want to see change, I will be donating 10 percent of all profits from Hello World Paper Co. to Project Night Night during the month of January. Our goal this month is to sponsor 25+ Night Night Bags for Homeless children.
