With Your Help, We Have Given Over $10,000 To Kids In Need - Thank You!

It is with a very HAPPY heart that I write this today.  Two years ago we pledged $35,000 to Pencils of Promise and I am thrilled to report that we are almost 1/3 of the way there!  This is a big deal for our little company of two!  When we decided to do this we set a goal of raising the money in 5 years and we are still going strong!  

As former teachers both Chrissy and I believe in the power of education and we feel that our little company can make a big difference in the lives of kids in need through Pencils of Promise.  With our help Pencils of Promise will build a school for kids in need when our campaign is over and with YOUR help we can make it happen even sooner than planned!  

There are two ways you can help us finish this school!

1.  You can purchase items from our shops!  With every purchase you make through Hello World Paper Co. and Hello World Stamps on Etsy you make a difference.  With each purchase, we donate a portion back to our campaign.

2.  You can donate directly to our campaign!  Our campaign is a little over 1/3 of the way there, but with your direct donation, we would be even closer by the year's end.  Just think if just 1/3 of our Instagram friends donated just $5 to our campaign we would be well over our goal!  Every little bit counts so please consider a direct donation.

Why Pencils of Promise?

Over 250 million children can’t read!  250 million!!  As a former teacher, the number sounds crazy to me! Books are my life people!  I could not even imagine.  I am constantly reading and have a deep love of books, I collect children’s books and also Young Adult fantasy books - vampires and wizards for the win!  I cannot comprehend children who do not have access to all the amazing children’s literature out there!  I’m so happy I found Pencils of Promise.  Pencils of Promise works with communities across the globe to build schools and create programs with the goal of increasing access to quality education for children in the developing world.  That is awesome!  Another fabulous fact about Pencils of Promise is that 100% of the donations to our campaign will go towards building the school - 100%.
